Life’s challenges, choices, joys and growth

Today I find myself thinking about life’s challenges, choices, joys, and growth. I am feeling thankful for my life and the new lessons that I learn every day. Even in times of difficulties I find comfort in choosing to recognize life’s beauty and life’s blessings.

God has created a beautiful earth for us. Most of which we never fully journey to see. Now that my vision is more limited, I find life’s beauty in different ways. It can be a gospel song on my iPad, hearing a child’s laughter, listening to a poem or scripture that deeply touches my heart, witnessing my puppies latest shenanigans or receiving a phone call from someone that I love. I believe that if we look, we can always find a reason to be thankful and to see God’s beauty.

Each day that we live we are showered with an abundance of God’s amazing blessings. Often we are so focused on life that we do not stop and recognize all of God’s daily grace and His daily favor. I think if we try to slow our pace down and regain our true perspective we would see how blessed we are, even on our most trying days.

So today I am only going to focus on God’s blessings. I am meeting every situation, trial, and challenge with a smile. I am walking totally in God’s grace and in His mercy. I believe that nothing but peace and positivity will come my way.

I have total faith that God’s love, His Grace and His Holy Spirit will cover me. Every step I take, every choice that I make, will be made as a child of God. I will walk in my purpose and I will fulfill my destiny.  I have found favor and a new purpose. I am forever grateful to our Heavenly Father for His love, affection and perfect direction. Please choose to enjoy every minute of your day.

    Hi C. Melita,
I agree with you about looking for God’s grace and blessings each step of the way. I love how you’ve not given in to bitterness about your visual loss, but instead, you have opened your heart to other areas of goodness. When we’re present to God in each moment, he will show us beauty where before we saw ashes.
Best to you in your Journey of Faith,
    Connie Rosser Riddle

I can easily get so involved in daily life that I forget to recognize God at work.

But recently, I have been better at this. I needed this encouragement though, both that I’m not alone in the struggle and in making the choice to do better 😀

In a world full of endless negativity and godlessness it is difficult to look for the joys you’ve mentioned. They are hidden treasures.

Yes, our joys can sometime be hidden,. Life struggles can teach us so much about what truly is important, and it is great to see the hidden blessings show up everywhere you look. Peace and joy to you!

This is a great way to approach life. If we take time out to be grateful for all the beauty that surrounds us daily, our perspective changes.

Thank you for such a sweet and wise perspective. I’m not great at responding to difficult times – I resist turning my focus on what’s good and beautiful. I don’t know why! But I definitely find myself craving comfort and why not change my attitude and focus?

No matter what happens in life there is something sweet to be found… even if it’s knowing our suffering is sharing in the experience of our Savior.
